When you open an existing patient via the external activity definition and the sign-in screen appears instead of the patient record, you have two options:

Link to an Existing Account:
- When to Use: There is currently no active linkage.
- Action: Link the HiX record with the patient's Luscii account.

Create a New Account:
- When to Use:
- There is no known account in Luscii.
- As a healthcare provider, you do not have access to the group where the patient's existing account resides.
- Action: Create a new account for the patient in Luscii only if no account is known in Luscii.
- Note: If you do not have access to the group of the existing account, request an organization administrator to grant you access to the specific group.

By following these guidelines, you can correctly manage the patient records and ensure appropriate access and linkage within the Luscii and HiX systems.
