Instructions

Within Luscii, you can use the organization functionality to distinguish between the main organization and sub-organizations, such as different departments or locations, and further divide them into sub-organizations. It is also possible for a sub-organization to have its own sub-organizations.

The use of sub-organizations ensures that patients remain separated between different departments and locations where healthcare providers do not have a treatment relationship. Sub-organizations allow healthcare providers to determine which patients, programs, and protocols they can access.

The administrator of the main organization has the authorization to manage all groups and sub-organizations. In contrast, sub-organizations (e.g., Specialism A and B) within a sub-organization (e.g., Location B) can only be created and managed by the administrators of that specific sub-organization, not by the administrator of the main organization.

Patients and Healthcare Providers in the Structure

Healthcare providers are linked to an organization, while patients are assigned to a group. If a group changes organizations, all patients linked to that group will also change organizations.

You can transfer a healthcare provider to a different organization by adjusting the settings in the provider’s account in Luscii Vitals, under the 'Personal Information' section. However, each healthcare provider can only be linked to one organization. The administrators of that organization or the overarching main organization can change the organization to which the healthcare provider is linked.

Additionally, healthcare providers can be linked to one or more groups. Groups determine which patients are treated by which healthcare providers. Administrators of the main organization can place healthcare providers in groups across different sub-organizations, so, for example, a cardiology nurse can consult in internal medicine when needed.
